Post Doctoral Opportunities in the Gilpin lab

A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the neurobiological intersection of pain and addiction. This position is available in the lab of Dr. Nicholas Gilpin (http://www.gilpin-lab.com/) at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans. Research projects in the Gilpin lab use an integrative approach that combines behavioral testing, pharmacology, circuit-based approaches, slice electrophysiology, and anatomical, molecular biology, and biochemical techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal models of pain plus one or more of the above techniques, and will have interest in addiction research. The successful candidate will be mentored toward research independence in his/her chosen area of specialization. Review of applications will begin immediately. Qualifications

Individuals holding or near completion (within six months) of a Ph.D. or equivalent degree are eligible.
